Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of staff nurses, nursing assistants, and support staff.
- Assign patient care duties, manage staffing schedules, and ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, clinical policies, and organizational standards.
- Oversee patient care plans and ensure adherence to established medical protocols.
- Intervene in acute situations, patient crises, or complaints to ensure timely and appropriate care.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient care and unit operations.
- Manage unit resources and assist in monitoring budgets and operational requirements.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, legal regulations, and healthcare best practices.
- Act as a liaison between nurses, physicians, patients, families, and hospital administration to ensure effective communication and coordination.
